Getting our Country back
I was doing nothing much this Sunday Afternoon, trying to lower the amount of emails in my inbox and read a few articles in websites to which I subscribe. As I did this’ it took me on a journey through the internet where I frequently find myself led down various roads by googling people I don’t know, or checking out facts on those I do.
I came across an article in the Canada Free Press about BHO and his attorney general Eric Holder. Always f... Continue reading ...

Amendments to the Constitution?
Many conservatives and conservative groups are calling for Amendments to the Constitution. These Amendments are in respect to Term Limits and to balancing our Federal Budget.
My quick response is VOTE and What Budget!
I have thought about these amendments for a while now. I am amazed that anyone thinks amending the constitution will resolve these problems.
Amendment to install term limits on Congress. I understand th... Continue reading ...

Does this sound like one of those bills that congress does, you know, Recognizes and names buildings after themselves, stuff like that?? IT IS NOT! This is the Bill that will start Obamas Volunteer Army! You know the one that will be bigger and better armed than our Troops. This Bill passed with 280 yeas and 128 Nays. The Dems only needed 272 to win and with 43 Republicans voting for it - that cinched it for them!

The tragedy of this FLOOD is still not completely known. The Death Toll from Tennessee is now at 16 and the news says it will be higher; when the flood waters recede.
The Damage to Nashville and surrounding areas is devastating to our historical downtown. The Grand Ole Opry, The Opryland Hotel, the Farmers Market.
The Clean up is beginning, the people are just now able to take stock of just what is gone or ruined. They are in shelters, and ... Continue reading ...

As you can see Non-Defense spending took a huge spike and has been on an upward climb since the 1960's. You can see the defense spending spiked during the Vietnam war, and except for a small rise during the Reagan administration has mostly fallen, even though we have heroes in harms way. The true amount may not be known, as many other budgets assume some defense spending. This really doesn't need much explaining, it pretty mu... Continue reading ...

Our President, the Main Street Media, even some hosts on FOX NEWS are trying to make the bill that passed in Arizona all about Race. What Arizona did was pass a law that mimics what the United States Government is supposed to do about illegal aliens in our country.
I was raised in Arizona and I can tell you about the Mexicans that lived there when I was growing up. Yes, they were called Mexicans, we did not call them ...? ? Continue reading ...

This last week has been a busy one, and that is saying it mildly. The Tennessee Smart Girls hosted 2 booths; one on Thursday at the SURG event in Hendersonville, TN. It was a great event, with terrific entertainment, like John Rich! There were several Candidates vying for the 6th district congressional seat, being thankfully open after the retirement of Bart Gordon. The organizers that put on this event in Hendersonvill... The Tea Party Express rolled into Nashville Tennessee on Easter Sunday; April 04, 2010. The crowd was of course large and friendly! There was lot's of meeting new Friends and saying hello to old ones. We found local politicians Mae Beavers and Susan Lynn speaking with the crowd as well as candidates. Dave Evans, running for the 6th District, where Bart Gordon would have been voted out if he wasn't 'retiring'; was ... Continue reading ...

Well the Healthscare Bill passed and it has not even been 1 month and the repercussions are all ready happening.
Within days of passage, several large companies reported that they have to record charges as a direct result of the Healthscare bill. Verizon Corp., is the latest to report that changes to income tax deductions will cause them to charge off $970 million dollars. This is after John Deere & Co. will record charge... ? I am feeling like Alice, of Alice in Wonderland; things are not right with this Nation and our rulers have gone amok. Wait this is America we have no rulers, we are free, we have a constitution! They can’t tell us what kind of light bulbs must be installed in our homes or how much water we can use or whether we can go fishing in our lakes, strea... Continue reading ...

Why did LAMAR Co-Sponsor a Bill that REQUIRES you to purchase insurance? That states specifically : Sets forth penalties for failure to enroll? Marco Rubio is running for the Senate in Florida against Charlie Christ, and is the man to send to the Senate. He gave an inspiring speech about where he came from, who he is and where he is going! These pictures are from my backdoor. This is our 5th Snow storm of the season. Very unusual for the South. Does anything about this picture conjure up warmth? It doesn't for me either. I have never fallen for the fact that man or anything other than the natual cycle of weather can cause global warming or cooling.

The U. S. Jobless rate came out yesterday (February 5, 2010) and the rate for January had fallen from 10.0 to 9.7 percent. BO was all over the news, talking about how wonderful it all is and how much better the economy was getting. He is either misinformed, or lying or just giving a single side of the story. The news was not as great as was espoused. Although the rate was down, the number of unemployed was actually... Continue reading ...

This is supposed to give equal representation for the people. Dear Tennessee Representatives,
I am writing you today to let you know that I DO NOT support the proposed tax on the Banks. It is amazing to me the schemes this administration cooks up. The charges for this tax will be passed on to the people of America who are already overtaxed. The bailouts should have never happened in the first place, and of course, the money needs to be paid back as a large portion has already been. I am sorry, but the president, the representatives, and senate ... ? ? Continue reading ...

I don't believe in starting the New Year with old baggage or things left undone. I clean my house, I get rid of everything that is not needed, doesn’t fit, or has seen better days. I check for any emotional baggage and either confront it or make sure it doesn’t follow me into the future. I make sure anything that has been swept under the rug, is thrown out! Merry Christmas and good morning!
It is very early this morning. Baby Girl and I got up early, while I made Coffee she climbed on the sofa for a little more sleep. Our house is not decorated, there is not a Christmas ball or garland, but there is a scattering of dog toys and bones. I still love CHRISTmas but without babes around it seems like a lot of trouble to drag out the decorati... Continue reading ...

What's Wrong With This Picture? Posted by Paula Tyler on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 Under: Political What's wrong with this picture? Somewhere between a few thousand and 2 million Americans show up in Washington D.C., They filled up Pennsylvania Avenue, they filled up the mall area, they were dressed in costumes all carrying big signs, sometimes chanting and sometimes singing patriotic songs. Dear Mr. Gordon,
I want to thank you for holding the town halls during the August recess. Although they were limited, at least you made an effort. I was only able to attend a phone-in meeting, but it was enough to reaffirm that the majority of Citizens in this district feel the same way I do. Very plainly, Mr. Gordon, it was obvious Tennesseans do not want any form of governmen... Continue reading ...

There have been so any names changes in the works lately. BO wants to change the name of “global warming” to “climate changes”, in order to get more people on board with his cap and trade plan.
