Voting
10/15/2010
Many of you know that the electoral process is one of my pet projects. I want to ensure that all eligible Americans are properly registered and would love to see more than 54% turnout to vote.
So why do citizens not vote? According to this survey, 23% of unregistered and 28% of infrequent voters are just too busy. (http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/thepoliticalsystem/a/whynotvote.htm). I cannot imagine any excuse for not being part of this process. To have my say in wh... Continue reading ...

Our President, the Main Street Media, even some hosts on FOX NEWS are trying to make the bill that passed in Arizona all about Race. What Arizona did was pass a law that mimics what the United States Government is supposed to do about illegal aliens in our country.
I was raised in Arizona and I can tell you about the Mexicans that lived there when I was growing up. Yes, they were called Mexicans, we did not call them ...? ? Continue reading ...

I was invited to speak recently at the regular meeting of SURG (Sumner United for Responsible Government). Also on the agenda that night was Tami Kilmarx and Candidate Dave Evans, running for Congress in Tennessee's 6th District. My talk was on something near and dear to my Heart!

I am feeling like Alice, of Alice in Wonderland; things are not right with this Nation and our rulers have gone amok. Wait this is America we have no rulers, we are free, we have a constitution! Our Government cannot tell us what to do or what to buy, or what to eat. They can’t tell us what kind of light bulbs must be installed in our homes or how much water we can use or whether we can go fishing in our lakes, strea... Continue reading ...

These pictures are from my backdoor. This is our 5th Snow storm of the season. Very unusual for the South. Does anything about this picture conjure up warmth? It doesn't for me either. I have never fallen for the fact that man or anything other than the natual cycle of weather can cause global warming or cooling.
According to an article today in the Tulsa Today, Climate Gate may be caused by an absent minded professor.... Continue reading ...

The U. S. Jobless rate came out yesterday (February 5, 2010) and the rate for January had fallen from 10.0 to 9.7 percent. BO was all over the news, talking about how wonderful it all is and how much better the economy was getting. He is either misinformed, or lying or just giving a single side of the story. The news was not as great as was espoused. Although the rate was down, the number of unemployed was actually... Continue reading ...

I don't believe in starting the New Year with old baggage or things left undone. I clean my house, I get rid of everything that is not needed, doesn’t fit, or has seen better days. I check for any emotional baggage and either confront it or make sure it doesn’t follow me into the future. I make sure anything that has been swept under the rug, is thrown out! I don’t bother with making resolutio... Continue reading ...

Well it is that time again, another year gone by and a new one just minutes away! I hope everyone that reads this will have a very prosperous, healthy, and of course Happy New Year!
It is traditional to look back at the year gone by and being a very traditional person, I will not be an exception

What's Wrong With This Picture? Posted by Paula Tyler on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 Under: Political What's wrong with this picture? Somewhere between a few thousand and 2 million Americans show up in Washington D.C., They filled up Pennsylvania Avenue, they filled up the mall area, they were dressed in costumes all carrying big signs, sometimes chanting and sometimes singing patriotic songs. The President did not know they were there, the News Papers did not know they were there and the "mai... Continue reading ...

Dear Mr. Gordon,
I want to thank you for holding the town halls during the August recess. Although they were limited, at least you made an effort. I was only able to attend a phone-in meeting, but it was enough to reaffirm that the majority of Citizens in this district feel the same way I do. Very plainly, Mr. Gordon, it was obvious Tennesseans do not want any form of governmen... Continue reading ...

What’s in a Name
There have been so any names changes in the works lately. BO wants to change the name of “global warming” to “climate changes”, in order to get more people on board with his cap and trade plan. Wonder why he does not call it BIG TAX increase? That is what it is! The Republicans are going on the road to listen to regular members and want to call it the “listening” tour... Paula -- Just what is Paula--?? ever hear of a comma?
Tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day, Americans across the country will sit down together, count our blessings, and give thanks for our families and our loved ones. They will also worry about the future, wonder about thier jobs and how they will afford the socialistic agenda put forth by you and your fellow communists. They will wonder if they need to put their money in a matress or t... | Continue reading ...
